Thank you all who have donated to help pay for the surgery that my brother underwent on 3/26/2013. It was a total success and he’s doing much better. To those who recently followed me and not sure what I’m talking about, here is a brief summary that has happened.
My brother, about 3 years ago, was misdiagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure). It caught us off guard when one day his already high blood pressure shot up to 225/hundred-someithng. He was almost going blind at that point. Turns out, the hypertension was only secondary to the real underlying problem, failing kidneys. To really fix the problem he needed a kidney transplant.
I advertised, and asked friends (who I all dearly love for helping me give the publicity even a bit) to get the word out about this donation page.
We managed to raise up to $3421 dollars and my family could not be any happier at that point. We recently had my cousin, who unfortunately was not a full match, still save my brother in some way. He joined a swap program where if someone who is a match to my cousin, and another donor is a match to my brother they’ll swap kidneys to their recipients that they are “sponsoring” in that program basically.
Here are some pictures with some of my family coming down, and my brother in the hospital:

I thank you all of tumblr and anyone else outside, who have helped make this successful. It’s been a great relief from all the stress and emotional grief. I thank you so much personally. I may not get along with my brother, but he is still my family I will always love and will always be there for him.
With that being said, I’d like to ask again, once more for your help with the money. Signal boost or donate whatever. The money is going to be used for his medications to make sure that kidney never fails again. He is taking many medications, mainly the important ones are his anti-rejection meds basically. They’re very very expensive that ranges about 600+ per month for just one of the meds.
We are getting by barely, but with me also in school, it’s getting a little difficult for my parents. This is the only thing I can do for my parents, so please signal boost or donate to help the cost of medication be a bit lighter for my parents. They’re doing so much.
Thank you so much.
